Step 1
Cruise at 3000 feet, 6 miles west of Oxford — engine failure. Declare MAYDAY to Oxford Radar.
Step 2
Read back squawk 7700.
Step 3
Read back heading, altitude, and QNH.
Step 4
Read back the frequency change to Oxford Tower. Stay on Radar until you have read it back.
Step 5
On Tower — identify as the MAYDAY aircraft and request landing.
Step 6
Read back landing clearance.
